Read Time Analytics
Find out how long visitors actually spend on each page — not just whether they opened it.
What It Shows#

| Average read time | Mean time spent on a page per visit |
| Pages by engagement | Pages ranked from most to least read |
Why It Matters#
Page views tell you what people open. Read time tells you what they actually read.
- Low read time on a complex page → content may be unclear, too long, or poorly structured.
- High read time on a short page → visitors may be confused and rereading.
- Consistent read time across a tutorial → readers are progressing through it as intended.
Use this data to prioritize which pages to rewrite first.
How to Access#
- Open your docs site.
- Float Widget → Analytics tab.
- Select the Read Time view.
